"Be aware there are signs saying alligator’s. You are walking near deep woods snd water at ground level."
"Located across the street of Green Cay Wetlands is this little park. It has a three quarter mile paved loop path around a lake. I've walked this path and in the past did a 5K run (4 loops plus a little extra) around the lake. There is a small parking lot for nine cars. When full we walked across the street from the Green Cay parking lot. No bathrooms here but you have to go over to the Green Cay Nature Center for a bathroom. There are always a few people walking the loop path and have seen people on bikes but it's a short loop for bikes. The path has a couple of places to sit. This is one of the few places near here where you can be in the shade for over half of the path for a nice walk, run or sit and enjoy a view of the pond."
"An approximately 3/4 mile trail which circles a natural lake with varied wildlife. While i biked around a few times i saw several reptiles and birds. There is an alligator warning so people should not veer off the lake into the surrounding vegetation. There is parking right by where the trail starts. Several benches every 1/10th of a mile. Path is wide enough for 5 or so people to walk side by side and is safe for biking as its fully paved Highly recommend for all ages and whom want to do a short path with lots of shade and a stunning view of the lake. Also, nature center is across the street if you want more."
"I really enjoy this walking trail, my family and I got frequently and gave it the nickname lizard trail. The reason for this nickname is because often you can see a lot of lizards along the path and iguanas sunning themselves in the grass. On a hot Florida day going to this trail is very nice when there is a breeze out. Most of the trail is shaded so the walk can be nice and cool. This is also a good place to bring your dog as long as they have their tags and can behave around other people. Overall it's a very pretty place to walk and is very nice if your looking for something with shade on a hot day."
