Reviews of Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area
"I've hiked these trails several times. Most all are considered level 1 hiking. Mostly flat, wide and sandy trails with the exception of the ones closer to Black Creek. The ones closest to the water are gravel with minimal inclines. Would be a good place for beginners and nice place to take your horses. There is a well on the property with a hose attached to it ... can fill water bottles or buckets/containers for your animals."
"Nice place to go with my dog for a5 mile hike. I met some horse riders along the way and other hikers. Good time!"
"Nice hike for the cooler months. Make sure to bring water especially if coming in the summer because many of the trail don't have shade. Where there is shade, there will be mosquitoes. I really appreciate the provided maps due to the fact that they have GPS coordinates on them and they are pretty much to scale. The trail signs could use work but the map picks up that slack. I only walked the white and yellow trails because the sun was setting and you do get a few nice views of the creek as seen in my pictures but nothing awe inspiring. I'll definitely be coming back soon to do the red trail to see the "observation location" before it gets hot again. Also the only bathroom is a porta potty or trees and bushes."
"Miles of trails. Go through at least half a dozen Florida ecosystems. Would've rated 5 stars but a lot of boaters have discovered the inlet so it's not so private anymore. Tons of flowers and wildlife. 2 different campgrounds - one close to the entrance and another on the river (about 3 miles from the trailhead)."
"Awesome place to camp, hike, and trail run! Can bring pets and lots of folks ride horses. Always watch the trail in front of you. Pictured are a juvenile Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, Coral snake, and Blue Garter snake. The first two are venomous. The place is loaded with deer also. Wonderful escape close to home to cherish the outdoors and Black Creek."
