"I've been going to My Barber Shop since they opened 21 years ago and will never go elsewhere. Prior to that, I searched for years for the one place to call home. Have the costs gone up? Of course, but not as much as inflation. 20+ years ago, a haircut was about $18 while gas was less than $1 a gallon. Their current prices are well within reason and worth every penny. It's all in the "Value" of their services."

"This morning I noticed some posters scattered throughout the plaza for this barber shop and scheduled a 5:30pm cut and shave with George. Did it more out of necessity (long overdue), but I left that place with zero doubt that him and Melanie are my go-to people for cuts, going forward. 1. To say George is quick, as others have, is an understatement. Not only is he friendly and professional, but I was in and out of there in less than 45 minutes. For a cut and shave…I’ve had recent cuts at other places that took almost twice that amount of time. 2. The gentleman simply knows what he’s doing. It was first time that I don’t tell myself that I need to let the cut grow out to be happy with it. 3. I’ve seen complaints on here about the price. It’s on par for a cut and shave anywhere else in the area. Their place deserves one’s business just as much, if not more so, than those nearby. Others charge the same or more but take significantly longer…are definitely not as skilled…and/or are upcharging for the “smoke-and-mirrors” service of an alcoholic beverage while you wait. Give credit where it’s due and pay people for their skill and service. I’d give George and Melanie my business any day based on just this one visit. I have tried a handful of places in the area along Griffin and Flamingo Road. Cooper City, Pembroke Pines, Davie, etc… this place blows past them by miles. So glad to have found them. There’s no need to search any further; I can now come here on a routine basis after work. If you need someone new or last minute and somehow stumbled into this review: just go ahead and give them a try. Don’t think you’ll be sorry. P.S.: It’s cash only, but if you don’t have any you can just walk over to the ATM at Publix’s entrance."

"I used to go there as a kid. Was 15 bucks for a hair cut. I think it was 10 buck for a beard trim. 5 bucks for a hot shave. I didn't look at prices and should have. For a 2 all round a hot shave on the back neck and beard trim and guess cost extra for hot shave for face. My total came out to be $62 freaking dollars. I was in shock and I'm never going back. I also asked can you shave peach fuzz on the bottom of my neck. They said that be extra. Yeah you lost a customer. Most barber shop does that for free."

"I've been getting my haircut by Melanie for 15yrs now. I absolutely love this place. The pricing is perfect, they do not upcharge you like other places and it doesn't matter that they only take cash. Credit cards take a % from businesses and I'm glad they keep the prices reasonable along with the service being great!"
