"Las Viñas BBQ to was known as Las Palmas it was known for its hot chocolate and churros after the change of name and possibly management the hot chocolate got smaller. This place is great but I had to rate it down one star."
"I normally don't take the time to leave a review, but I think in this case is warranted. This is the West Miami location. It is where Las Palmas used to be on SW 8 Street. We decided to try it out for breakfast and see how it is. The prices are average, but I guess that's why the portions are not very generous. My friend and I had the Bistec de res a caballo, this is a version of Steak and eggs. The steak was nothing to brag about and the eggs were overcooked. I requested whole grain bread, in lieu of the Cuban bread that comes with it, and for that they charge you an extra $1.75. My daughter had the scrambled eggs and toast. It seems that it was nothing to brag about, either. my friend and daughter had the croquette de bacalao, (Codfish croquette) and they both said that the croquette were good. The churros and the hot chocolate was also good. We were there for several hours talking, and to my surprise, I saw about four people that came to eat while we were there, 98% of the tables were empty. Which is not the case if you go to La Carreta, another Cuban Restaurant in Miami. I think that now I have a good idea why this is the case. I can't speak for the Hialeah location, but I can definitely speak about my experience at the West Miami location. Overall the food was average, most definitely not the best Cuban food that I have tasted. On top of that, they add and 18% tip to the bill which is labeled as a "service charge", and if you pay with a debit or credit card, there is a 3.9%, "Non cash Adj". Someone left a review for the Hialeah location and it said that it was the best Cuban food this person had in a long time. Like I said, I can't speak for the Hialeah location, but I can assure you that "It is definitely, NOT the best Cuban food" that I have tasted. Actually, it was rather disappointing. That explains all the empty tables and the lack of customers/diners. I do want to be fair and mention that both waitresses were very nice. However, that is not sufficient to make up for the mediocre food."
"The best authentic cuban food i’ve tasted in a while. not only is it fresh and to order, the restaurant itself is so clean and nice. i will be coming here every week."
