"How I came upon Ray's was nothing less than a small miracle on a frustrating day. Stopped in to my usual shop and noticed that my barber of choice was no longer employed. So I stayed and waited for the next barber to finish with his client. After waiting a long hour for the three other Barbers to finish cutting their patrons, in comes three more people who were promptly seated. I sat for oh, maybe 20 seconds and asked what about me and was told that these clients made an appointment and I was next. I explained you could have used some discretion and mentioned that others were in front of me but instead didn't have the decency to let me know. I promptly got up and thanked them for allowing me to hang out since I had nothing else to do. Oh by the way the shop is now gone. No need to wonder why. Now this story leads into the next adventure of the day. While traveling up 41 I remembered that a friend of mine had mentioned that his barber is located in the general area where I am driving. So I went exploring and it didn't take long for me to find the barbershop. Saw the sign Ray's Barber. Could not believe that was so lucky to find it in the complex areas off of 41. Went in for cut and came out a happy guy. The shop is run by a father/son team whom btw are not named Ray. That's another story. Great shop and no funny business and apparently no appointments. As it should be, unless you're a woman going for a full day of pampering and styling. I definitely recommend Ray's."

"Worst haircut ever! Mario cut my sons hair and shaved off his whole right side corner of his head. Then tried to fight me when I told him he did a horrible job. I went there because I was referred, but told not to let him do it to only use Marco. Marco had a long line so I gave Mario the benefit of the doubt. Worst decision I ever made. We have pictures today, and I now have to cancel. My son has had his hair cut ever 2 weeks since he was 2 years old, NEVER have I had this bad of a haircut or seen this much unprofessionalism. Marco did try to fix it, but even admitted there was not much he could do because of the HORRIBLE job his father did. He was so close to my face screaming and cussing at me infront of children I honestly thought he was going to hit me!!!!"

"Rare find of old school barber shop with just crazy enough owner. Mario takes his time and has pride in his work. This is proven true by all the repeat customers, often showing appreciation by bringing gifts like Vermont maple syrup. I would like to keep this place a secret so I can get in easier but my heart pleads for you to support this unique local business."
