Reviews of Marsh Trail - Ten Thousand Islands NWR
"A great stop in the Everglades to see wildlife for free. It has the appearance of a hiking trail. Some spots are wide open to allow people to view wildlife in its natural setting while others are surrounded by mangroves. You'll see lots of birds and gators, but nothing was lying or walking the trail. The towers give great views from above."
"The Trail is ok not much to see after you pass the observation tower. If you are looking for some exercise, sure but if birding or just looking to enjoy some wild life as i said not much to see pass the observation tower."
"10,000 islands is a nice trail. It’s a few mile walk to the end and back. There are open areas where you can see plenty of water and birds. A fair amount of the trail has solid brush on both sides, where it is difficult to see many birds. The trail ends with a fairly large field where we didn’t see any birds in the field. There’s an observation tower close to the front of the trail that was decent for viewing birds on the water. The trail was very easy to walk and Pleasant. We didn’t see any alligators during our trip, but I saw a lot of other posts where people have seen alligators on this trail. My daughter really enjoyed walking this trail, it was a good hike, and she saw a number of birds that were on her list to see in the Florida Everglades. I would hike this trail again and recommend it and recommend it to others because of it’s easiness to walk."
"Bring binoculars short trail to observation deck. The other 2 mile round trip is good to stretch the legs a bit. Flat and dry. No nudity in case you were thinking about the possibility."
"A short 5 minute paved walk to a small observation tower. The dirt trail beyond that is not worth walking."
