"The road to get there is sooo bad! It’s a gravel road next to a canal so that was kinda scary- potholes, bumps, dips I was driving 5 mph and my dog and I were flying in the car. Probably wouldn’t be as bad in a truck. Got there finally and it’s all sand, no shade, nothing pretty or exciting to look at. Was hoping to run but couldn’t due to all the sand and had to leave quick because my dog was getting hot because of the lack of shade. Wouldn’t come back pretty disappointed"

"The worst gravel road with giant potholes everywhere takes you to a pretty long walk with little shade. It might be nice in the winter but we went during a very hot day and our dogs overheated. The trail is very Sandy so I don’t recommend biking."

"Nice 2 mile loop with a shortcut to reduce it to 1 mile if needed. Double track trail thru pine uplands. May have sheet water in places in summer as the trail is not raised. Trespassing ATV riders tear up the trail causing ruts and very loose sand in many places."

"A great place for taking a nice walk for yourself or in a group. Abundance of exuberant Florida vegetation and wildlife.... Beautiful spring wild flowers. Trail easy to all ages... well signed that allows you get back if you need to.... Even when big Florida pine along your way, It doesn't make a shaded canopy, but shaded for part of the trail. You can have wide view, visibility, all around your walk... You will find people on horses, and bicycle....far from any stores, you need to go prepared with snaks and water. No restroom.... The drive for the last 1/4 of the road, little rough but okay for any car, just keep it slow...no problem."

"If you are not really looking for anything other than a sand path among some pine trees than this is your place. I decided to check out this trail because it is extremely close to my house, however it was difficult to actually walk as the trail is not compact earth but sand. You will leave with sand all in your socks and shoes, but if you're looking for a fast afternoon stroll and not looking to see any wildlife, or diversity in the landscape like some swampy areas and highlands than this will do the trick. If you're driving from in town I recommend you just take the extra 20 minute drive out to the CREW bird sanctuary trail off Shady Hollow as the trail there is compact and almost guaranteed to see some kind of wildlife at any time in the day."
