"Nice rural place"
"So far, after one visit, i'm quite pleased that I visited this WMA. I'm always on the search for a place that I am able to drive through as opposed to parking in a lot at (hiking) trailheads. That's just me: I love driving and have a few issues that keep me from hiking even short distances. My exploration was late April, so I imagine a visit during the rainy season would be a different thing. Some had mentioned closed roads, this could be the reason. But a well equipped 4x4 or off-road capable motorcycle (or quad) could work for an experienced driver/rider. If that's not your preference where horsepower is concerned, there were many horse trails, with locations to parking a trailer. If you are planning on going deeper down the roads/trails, beware: this visitor had ZERO cellphone reception, so calling out or even relying on cellular-provided navigation could be an issue. As far as wildlife, you're going to be hard pressed if you're driving. Once the car/truck is off and you expose yourself to nature's full audio regalia (hang for a while in the quiet) you may happen across some wildlife, or they may happen across you. Sightings included a group of wild hogs, deer, rabbits and a variety of birds. I'll be back, hopefully I can post some images next time."
"We love the place when the majority of the roads are open and we try to vist at least once a month. Unfortunately it seems like 90% of the time when we visit a majority of the roads are closed for various reasons, some roads have been closed for over 3 years and don't appear they will ever reopen. Keeping the roads closed until they are Prius accessible doesn't allow for others to enjoy the place for what it was intended for."
