"No complaints other than the sand is dark unlike Siesta in Sarasota. Venice beach is easier to get to and park than Siesta and not quite as busy! The water is beautiful and always plenty of wildlife to see. Life Guards are always present and attentive. There is always great police patrolling the area. Great safe family place to spend the day! Currents can be very strong in some areas so watch your kids and don’t send them out there alone!"

"Best kept secret... although word has gotten out. Blue Ribbon beach with a nice Pavilion that has a concession stand/shop and clean bathrooms as well as areas to shower. You can walk to both the Jetty and the Pier with a little effort. Shops on Venice Ave. are walkable and accessible. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, but they have a dog beach about 10 minutes away."
