"Nice big park great to hike for exercise"
"I originally entered the trails at the Deep Creek Park entrance and, to be honest, really hated it there. In many areas the grass was tall (watch where you step) or deep sand. I also found the trail markings (many are posted on trees) to be a little confusing and I took a couple of wrong turns. After exploring for about an hour, I left and went to the primary entrance where the old campground is located. It was only slightly better. Also, there is nothing interesting to see, although I was on the main entrance area trails for only a short while. There is plenty of parking at the main entrance in front of the gate, btw, something I couldn’t tell with certainty from other reviews. In general, there are plenty of other good trails in the area to visit before this one."
"It's a great Park to go to I recommend if you get a chance to go there. It's hard to get to you have to drive down some power lines so I recommend you parking down at the end. Or take a truck to the gate."
"This is a fun hiking trail as long as you stick to the 'hiking and equestrian' paths. Awhile back I tried to enter at marker #17 and do the 'hiking' loop. It was rediculously dangerous and ankle breaking...many of the remarks on the paper at that entrance reflected the same feelings. But, of you stick to the trails #1 through #14, it's a pretty nice hike."
"Deep Creek Preserve, managed by the Southwest Florida Water Management District, offers free dry camping and is big rig friendly. A free online permit is required to access the locked gate. It is located convenient to I-75 with a Walmart and fuel nearby to resupply. One portable toilet is on-site and was serviceable. Verizon cell service was 25.1 Mbps download and 1.77 Mbps upload. AT&T cell service was 2.44 Mbps download and 0.00 upload. Picnic tables and fire rings are available throughput the camping area."
