"Praying for the souls who lost their lives on May 9 1980. I can remember hearing about this terrible tragedy. The memorial is located on the Sunshine Bridge Rest Area, just south of the Sushine Bridge."

"Great memorial to those that lost their lives so many years ago. This is also a wonderful place to take a break and use the facilities. The bathrooms are amazing clean! Actually cleaner than most bathrooms I have seen while traveling the country. They also have a good variety in the vending machines and the prices are good. The picnic benches and access to the water and fishing area is great too! Would recommend during your travels. This place is amazing for family gatherings and activities."

"This is a great memorial for the people who lost their lives in the Sunshine Skyway tragedy. It is also located at the Sunshine Skyway rear stop. This is by far one of the best rest stop / parking areas you can take a break at. Amazing views of Tampa bay! Plenty of picnic tables and coverings. A pretty decent selection of vending machines as well. I stop here quite frequently and the bathrooms have always been clean as well. Even if you don’t need to stop when you pass by, stop."
