"We were there for the first time today, after having driven past it several times before. The welcome was very warm and we had a nice chat. We come from Germany and felt very comfortable. And had nice conversations. The equipment and facilities were clean and in good condition. The beautiful weather and the surroundings rounded off the whole experience."
"Great day on the water at Fort Desoto renting kayaks. Saw about 15 manatees and a very friendly bird."
"What a brilliant experience! We drove an hour from Clearwater just to use the Kayak Outpost and it was certainly worth it. Flying fish, black crabs (not spiders as the kids initially thought!), birds swooping down to feed on fish and amazingly a Dolphin swam right by us looking for its breakfast!! The service was also brilliant with great advice on where to go during the rental whilst also giving us a few bottles of water as they didn't think we had enough with us). Take the drive and visit this place. It's worth it."
"Beautiful, easy location for kayaking. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were pet-friendly so we were able to take our small dog, who thoroughly enjoyed his first kayak. We even spotted several manatees."
"These guys are very nice and are educated well about the local waters!! If you take the time to see below around the oyster beds, you’ll see plenty of sea life, conchs, crabs, sea urchins, sea cucumbers. Of course many manatees were there that day and always a dolphin or two. Very relaxing! Sunscreen a must, not much shade."
