MISSION BBQ is a patriotic and community-focused restaurant located in Sarasota, Florida. After scouring the country for the best BBQ, the founders were inspired to bring this delicious cuisine back home. Their mission is to serve authentic, mouth-watering all-American food to those who protect and serve our nation, including veterans, first responders, and active duty military personnel.
The institution not only serves delicious food, but also gives back to the community through fundraisers and service projects, donating over $25,000,000 to charities since opening in 2011. The staff at MISSION BBQ are dedicated to taking care of their team and prioritizing the needs of their employees above all else.
One notable story from MISSION BBQ is that of Tom Glenn, a former NSA employee who was on the last helicopter out of Saigon during Operation Frequent Wind in 1975. His dedication to his duty and the safety of others reflects the values of service and sacrifice that MISSION BBQ holds dear.
