McKethan Lake Recreation Area

"Super clean park, easy to navigate (only one way around the lake). Super cool to be able to facilitate an event here! We've been in business almost 10 years, and this was one of the most affordable locations that we have ever seen. We did not personally book the event, we just supplied the decorations and set up. Pavilion rental is an easy process, super affordable, and you have plenty of time. The entire park is extremely well clean, wildlife everywhere, with enough locations being far enough away, where you don't feel like you are trapped. The event we facilitated was first week of August, and with the shading provided by the trees, it did not seem to warm. Definitely a great location for those of you looking to have a wedding or an event on a budget. -Farmer And The Dell"

"Two mile paved road circles the lake. Walking trails and picnic tables scattered throughout the park. Lake water level is low. Quite place....."

"Nice area. Small lake in the middle of a nice paved 2.2km loop. There's also a trail but I haven't done that yet. Saw some ducks and a red shouldered hawk here."

"Wonderful views of lake scenery. You can either drive around the lake or walk through a short 20 minutes’ trail surrounding the lake. You can use the bridge at one end of the lake functions as a shortcut when walking. You can also simply just enjoy the swing near the bathroom. We enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful half afternoon there."

"Nice easy nature trail going around the lake. The highlight here is the lake and the amazing views you get from different points along the trail. Quiet and peaceful area during the week, great for some relaxing time."
