Reviews of Rum Island Springs County Park
"Beautiful spring to enjoy while kayaking the Santa Fe River. On of our stops while kayaking to stretch our legs and cool off. It's usually not to busy. And it's easy to kayak up to. There are a couple boat/kayak launches at the park as well."
"It's been about a good 18yrs since I last was at Rum Island. So when my family and I visited the Spring last week, it was a huge difference. There are picnic tables available, a wheelchair ramp, and a division between the spring and lake. We had the best time!! I can't wait to go back. Admittance to the Spring is $5 a vehicle load or $25 for the year."
"These folks ROCK. We've used them in the past, and they are still on their game. The new addition of a shower facility takes this company to a new level. It is sure nice to ride back home (Jacksonville) after cleaning up. People are awesome! Highly recommend these guys!"
"We really enjoyed our time kayaking and swimming here. (You can't kayak in the spring but you can kayak the Santa Fe river to numerous other springs including Gilchrist Blue Springs which is almost across the river.) The swimming area abuts the river but is walled off. There are stairs and a ramp down to the spring. You do have to pay to get in but you can use a debit/credit card if you don't have cash $5/car. It had a nice ramp to put our kayaks in. The bath house is sufficient, nothing fancy"
