"Brent and his wife are very friendly and helpful people. I highly recommend their RV park. The location and price are beyond reasonable. They were all out of spaces and let us park by his barn where we had electric and water, when we left he provided a dump tank for us. Great service and great people. "We have been staying at Shady Oaks for almost a year . Brett and Theresa are awesome hosts and are always on hand to lend a hand if needed . We are mainly weekenders and I would say we absolutely love it . The full time residents we have made friends with are fantastic good hearted people . It is a great location for hunters or fishermen coming into cedar key . The camp ground I would say maybe does not have “ kid” activities however there are/ were kids in some of the campers . We have been very very pleased with our experiences here and would highly recommend . The people here are honest, friendly and good heart. 5 stars for sure"

"I always look for the best value. This place fits the bill. Clean, safe, comfortable, and good price. Owners can be seen around the place keeping it up and making it better. Neighbors in the park seem to be great people and always offer a friendly wave. It’s close to Cedar Key for great fishing and Chiefland for essentials."

"We recently stayed at Shady Oaks and enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a nice quiet place to spend the evening, and we got exactly that. The campground was not far from the main highway, but it was secluded and very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in one of the cabins available; it was very nice. Solid construction, a/c and heat, a trundle bed, and portable toilet... everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend Shady Oaks for anyone camping!"
