"Really disappointed with our pontoon rental. We have been renting pontoons in OBA for over a decade - decided this year to change our typical pontoon rental and try another company. OB Watersports showed a very nice, luxury pontoon with slide - and provided the weather in October could be a bit cold, this was ideal as we’d spend more time on board. On the morning of our reservation we (three kids, four adults) show up on time only to learn that our rental is not available, but they had a basic pontoon ready in place. I was very disappointed, and their employee simply asked if I wanted to change days. Now, I have three small children, primed and ready to go on a boat - the employee and I both know I have no options. I told him I really wanted to have the pontoon I rented, he said he understood and that he’d discount our rental for us. Fine - let’s make the best of it. We all load up, hit the bay, and I quickly find there is no power to the panel. No horn, no lights, no radio, no water to the slide. Now I have a boat rental I did not really want, plus it just doesn’t work right. At the end of the day, we return the pontoon. No employee in sight (he’s gone for the day). I send a text message with the details of the pontoon not fully functional and as about the discount he said he’d offer. He was very responsive, saying that he’d talk to the owner in the morning and get back to me. That was nearly two weeks ago. I’ve sent three follow up messages and he has yet to respond. I received no credit. I’ll chalk this up as a “live and learn” and there are dozens of companies in OBA that we can rent from - the only reason to write this review is to warn others. Please be careful, make sure the rental you reserve is available - if not, make sure to get the discounted agreement in writing, and finally - check all power and panels prior to departing. I’ve given this company plenty of opportunities to make this right and not provide a review like this - the fact that they do not respond tells me they simply don’t care."

"I would not recommend this place for boat rentals. We made a reservation a day ago to rent a pontoon boat and gave a credit card to hold the reservation. We then called later in the afternoon to cancel our reservation since they were calling for possible storms the next morning. My husband and I felt it wasn't safe to be out on the water with possible storms in the forecast. This morning we get a call from OB watersports saying that we needed to pay for the rental weather we took the boat out or not. We did not authorize them to put our credit card through without our permission but they did. They charged us $564.00 which we think was very unfair. I normally don't write reviews but I am just trying to help other people so they do not get ripped off."

"Are you in Orange Beach?? Are you sick of sitting on the same beach? Are you going to lose your mind if you do one more lap through Surf Style or Alvin's Island? Rent a pontoon from OB Watersports and go explore!! There are endless amounts of water to cruise through in a fuel efficient pontoon. We had 11 of us and we cruised for hours, found dolphins, beached it on picturesque Bird Island and went and cruised some more. To quote Phil Knight, "Just Do It!""
