"Age 30-35 This place is an absolute pile of trash. I did not stay here, but I thought about it when I was looking for a place for our vacation. I read all the reviews and decided not to stay. On our trip I decided to walk by and check it out to see if all the poor reviews were true. The hotel and pool area is sooooo run down. It is in a very sketchy end of the boardwalk. This whole section of the boardwalk is sketchy with lots of run down businesses and loitering suspicious characters. There were zero people at the pool, probably because the entire pool area had yellow caution tape everywhere. The shop downstiars right off the boardwalk had a rack outside but inside was locked, yet open?. As I was looking at the clothing rack a lady ran over and asked If I needed something. I said I was looking and then casually mentioned how I wanted to look inside as well. She literally told me I had to come back after I showered because I had on sunscreen. I'm sorry what?! I can't look in your BEACHFRONT STORE because I'm wearing sunscreen in Florida, on the beach?!. We walked away. We were going to take a jump in the ocean but I felt like we would honestly get robbed if we put our stuff down so we waited until we were more north near our amazing hotel (The Tides) to do so. Trust the bad reviews and stay sway!"

"The host is A+++++!!!Room is absolutely beautifully decorated, clean, stocked, and the extra beach gear available to borrow is a really cool bonus. The view of the aqua water and palms from the bed is just breathtaking. Location is perfect just steps from the beach and walking distance to everything. 2 of us are reviewing. The hotel is almost 100 years old. It's old Florida, historic & cool. The vibe here is definitely chill. Our room is modern, clean, stocked with beach or pool stuff(wasn't expecting that, a nice thoughtful touch) & has a water view. Will definitely return & will recommend to friends & family."
