"I shop at this location all the time. It upset me. When an employee, treats me as if I'm a criminal. #1 Cashier/Manager wanted me to put my bag in the front. When one of my bags is a handbag (yes a purse). That looks like a book bag. #2 Second bag had a plate of food. That she wanted to place on the floor. Disrespectful. #I've been a manager and I know my rights and the law. You cannot touch my bag, until I reach a certain amount of feet pass the register. Not acceptable Every time a black person come in there. This is how they act. I work a cooperate job. 50hrs a week. What u can do. Allow me to input my phone number, so I can get these rewards. Thanks because u refuse to do that"
"They need to change the name. Only 25% of the goods there are for 1 dollar."
"It is a store that we visit very often, but today 4/15/2023 we were treated rudely by the cashier, she was very rude my husband claimed the price of an item that marked on the shelf and another at the checkout, the cashier did not want to help him, she said that wasn't her problem .people like her should not work as a customer service"
"Not everything a dollar. Sells close, food and other products. route 52 bus parks in front of store. Recently opened has compition next door who would think a dollar tree. Also a dollar store Sells diapers and household products. And balloons for different ocassions. Also Post office close by as well as daycare. Drop kids off pay bills pick up needs for home in either dollar stores. Person at register cannot see you enter with bag in hand will ask or tell you: please leave bag behind counter and go get or buy what you want and then return for your bag after you pay it will be fine behind the counter or register."
"Yesterday March 12, 2022 at approximately 1pm my husband and I walked into family dollar located in 9823 E Hibiscus St Miami, FL 33157 in need of some batteries and snacks. We went our separate ways to make the shopping quicker since we were in a hurry and when my husband found the battery pack he was approaching me when an associate was chasing him down the store because apparently the batteries needed to be held behind the counter until the lady asked if he was with me. Mind you my husband is black and I’m white. She then proceeded to say “I know you won’t steal but we need to hold the batteries behind the counter for stealing reasons” she then grabbed the batteries from the cart and took them away. This place is completely racist because of his skin tone. If it was me grabbing the batteries nothing would have been said but since he’s of color they discriminated against him. The rack of batteries are literally located in the isle with everyone to access them. So can someone please explain what type of customer service was this? When I walked up to the counter the manager didn’t even step foot out to confront me since they know they were in the wrong. This needs to be addressed and resolved immediately."
