"You might get get a Mickey in your drink. I'm pretty sure the bartender or somebody during the short period of time that I was there spiked my drink. I wouldn't trust the drinks. I lost complete consciousness after I left there with my guest who was driving. I ended up in a parking lot with police surrounding me. The police got me home safely with a cab and I went paralyzed from the waste down when I got out of the cab and fell on the concrete. I have been drinking for a long time and have never experienced anything like it. I lost my association with my friend as a result. I do not recommend going to the purple rhino for a homosexual t i m e Do not trust them."

"It was my first time there. I am visiting from NY. I wasn't there more than 15 minutes and was immediately greeted by friendly staff and customers. It was a very inviting atmosphere. And the price of drinks were more than reasonable. I would have paid double the price at a similar bar in NY. So if your looking for friendly people and an inexpensive night out, this is the place to be. And the added bonus. It's a not for profit. All the proceeds go to local gay charities."

"I am from out of state, and was welcomed with open arms at this establishment. Membership is required, but they allow for visitors to come up to 3 times prior to being required to purchase a yearly membership. Bingo was great, and the demographic was more of a mature crowd. Would definitely recommend if you’re into this type of scene."
