My past haircuts were just 123 cut. they didn’t divide and cut it in a way that makes the haircut flow with the shape of my head and face like Peter does. "While on vacation I needed to get my hair done. Not knowing anyone in the area i tried to find something online. This salon is nothing like it implies online. It's a single unit in one of those salon suite like places where people rent out a individual suite. I was scheduled for a retouch color, cut and style with Peter Rodriguez. As he was walking me to his suite he explained that during the pandemic he had to close his salon and now he is just renting a station here. Immediately when I sat down I started to tell him what I wanted and he tried to interrupt me to tell me what he thought I needed. He wanted to cut my hair much shorter and change my color to be much lighter. I said no, let me tell you what I want. I gave him the formula and said I only needed my regrowth colored and that I wanted it to match my level 4 dark hair. Even though I was surprised that the salon was not as expected, and due my own time constraints, not to mention I was already feeling unsure about the outcome, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and let him color my hair. I have a pretty easy color and I knew what to tell him to use. I figured even if it wasn't perfect, I knew I could get by with it this time. As my color was processing, Peter stepped out and I was left alone in the suite, so I was able to get a quick video of the place. Mind you before I booked, I scoured the internet and looked him up online and what I found was nothing like where I was. The photos online represented that LAB Salon was a beautiful modern salon. That is what I was expecting to go to and this was nothing to compare! Peter's suite was decorated very oddly in my opinion. There were empty frames mounted on the wall and then parts of bone or horns hung in the middle of the frame. It had very dark and dreary walls. The place was not clean and kept up as it should be. There were lots of smudges and marks on the walls. There was an acrylic desk right in front of the mirror that was dusty and a little bit cluttered. As I was sitting there looking around I knew there was no way I was going to trust him to also cut my hair. So as soon as my hair was shampooed and dried I paid and left. Thankfully, he must have forgotten that I was also scheduled to get a haircut too because he didn't even attempt to cut it. As far as my hair color, well it was much lighter than it should have been. He did not use the color I told him to use and I can only assume he may not have had in stock what I needed and just used something close. Again, thankfully for my hair it wasn't the end of the world if it wasn't perfect because I knew I could get it fixed when I was back home. I would not recommend this place."

"A fantastic experience and outcome. I have curly hair and hated how it looked but didn’t know what it needed to look better. I considered going to a salon that specializes in curly hair, but they all seemed so expensive and extra. After reading Peter’s reviews at LAB Salon Miami, I decided to book with him. As soon as he saw my hair he knew what it needed. He cut it PERFECTLY. I had such a poor haircut before that I was ready to chop it all off. But he cut it so I was able to keep my length while also fixing the shape of it. He seriously knows what he’s doing, so trust him and keep an open mind. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending him to everyone I know"
