"Exact same thing happened to me as one of the reviewers below; ordered an SBGA211 and waited almost a year after multiple broken promises, finally received an empty box. Was told to tell the post office that I never received the empty box so that a claim could be filed, which is obviously fraudulent. Ended up disputing the charges (I had made two payments; the initial deposit and then the balance when the empty box was apparently ready to ship I guess). Credit card company refunded me both even though the initial deposit was about 9 months old at that time. Mr. Stein tried to mail me a check... I refused to deposit it and still have it... claiming that his credit card terminal couldn't refund a sale that old. Buyer beware."
"Super easy and smooth purchases of my new Grand Seiko. Jack called me and talked about the watch before I bought it. When I paid it was shipped same day and arrived a few days later. It was just as described and I couldn’t be happier. Would definitely recommend!"
"Fraudulent practices. I purchased a Grand Seiko SBGA211 from this company in Apr-2019 with a stated shipping date of Jul-2019. It is common practice for gray market (non-authorized dealers) to sell watches not currently in inventory and then source them, so this did not worry me, especially with a BBB rating of A and reasonable online reviews. After numerous delays and excuses, I gave Mr. Stein an ultimatum of shipping the watch by the end of Sep-2019 or issuing a refund. He sent shipment confirmation on 30-Sep after I pressed him for the refund. What arrived on 4-Oct was an empty box; I immediately reported this to Mr. Stein and took the box to my post office. He stated, via text, he would issue a refund as soon as he confirmed the post office received the box and he could initiate the insurance claim. No refund was processed and I disputed the charge with my credit card; Mr. Stein provided a written statement that I had not notified him or the post office of the lost watch, had accepted delivery of a damaged package (thus making me liable for the lost watch), and had filed the dispute in bad faith. I have supporting communication records that prove these statements false; I am still working with my credit card to resolve the dispute. Do not trust this seller. Responding to Merchant's Reply: Mr. Stein mistakenly sent the package to the billing address, which was automatically forwarded via USPS premium forwarding services to the correct shipping address (which was clearly entered on the order form). I never made any claim regarding this being the basis for my credit card dispute. Amex is still reviewing the dispute, but the reason for possibly not issuing the charge back is that the merchant specifies in small print in his "terms and conditions" that he must be contacted via a specific phone number if the package is damaged; despite my having clear evidence of contacting him via phone, text, and e-mail about the empty package and his text message stating he would issue a refund. Never during our multiple exchanges did he reference the need to call him via that specified number; I complied with all his requests and attempted to resolve the matter in good faith...he clearly does not conduct his business in good faith."
"If you're expecting a typical ordering experience with Jack, you'll probably be disappointed. It took some time and I wasn't able to get the original item I ordered but, Jack made up for it. He offered me the choice of four newer items comparable to the one I originally ordered - and actually better! I chose the one in the picture and it arrived in just a couple of days, in perfect condition and with full warranty at a considerable discount. The quality of the watch is superb in every way and keeps astonishingly accurate time, right to the second. Give him a chance and you won't be disappointed! Thanks Jack!"
