"Detailed review inteded to save your nails: please read through! My usual nail tech was out on vacation which led me to try out Lotus Nail Studio (I was also recommended by a friend in the past). Upon my arrival I was met with a very kind and attentive receptionist. She offered something to drink and snack on while we waited which I thought was very nice considering it's not normal practice at nail salons. I sat down with my nail tech who said hello and got right to work. As she continued on I realized it was taking longer than expected; 35 minutes and she was still in the process of removing my previous nail polish by excessively drilling and soaking my nails. When I asked for an almond shape she said Ok but I quickly realized she wasn't familiar with shaping (and the whole nail process, frankly). She asked the women next to me, who I believe to be the owner, for help with the shape. She tried to help but I then noticed her efforts to fix the hack job were rushed and displayed an overall lack of effort. After applying and curing the base coat, I noticed my nails were terribly bubbly and rigid (probably from the copious amounts of drilling to get the color off). She then removed the base polish, re-buffed, and applied my gel color which still came out terrible. It looked so bad, the women then told me "I need to redo this whole thing". I had been there for an hour at this point and told her to just please remove the polish as I had somewhere to be. She agreed and said she wouldn't charge me for the manicure (you don't say!). I then waited another 10 minutes while my nails were soaking and the first nail tech I had took over again. She removed the aluminum and proceeded to drill my poor nails AGAIN, to no avail. The color still didn't come off. I had had it. I told her to forget it and remove everything so that I could leave. The owner gave me a "sorry" and i walked out. Walking out, I was in utter disbelief that this process got as out of hand as it did. Partly my fault for not speaking up sooner, but why have a nail tech on staff with limited capabilites taking clients? I matter. My time matters. A genuine effort to resolve the matter beyond a sad "sorry" would have helped avoid my lenghthy review. I hope this was a learning lesson for all - i know it was for me. Will not be back!"

"Asia did the soak off. She’s very chill. She lets you just have a zen moment without doing small talk which I appreciate. I was switched over to Lisette for a black French dip manicure with tips applied. The interaction was cordial. When it was time to square up I saw multiple charges that totaled service for $75. That sounds high even for added tips and French. A nail has already broken after a day and the black tips weren’t completely painted. It’s a no for me in returning. If you decide to try them out, I would recommend asking the cost upfront for transparency."

"Lotus is located in a small plaza next to Brass Ring Pub Sports Bar. It is family owned and a tranquil, beautiful environment. I had a full set with design and a pedicure. The owners are super friendly as well as the staff. The owner did my full set nails and she was quick and did an awesome job as you can see by the pic. I am so looking forward to returning. Come and see for yourself."
