"If you have kinky (Black American) hair, this is not the salon for you. They talk about about you and your hair, in Spanish, and think you don’t know what they are saying. At first, I didn’t want to believe what I heard. But, it happened again, when I went back the second time. Even worse, she will RUIN your hair. I can only guess that they put a chemical in my hair. Some parts are pin straight. Some parts are frizzy. My hair has never been frizzy. And, a month later, it still smells like burnt rotten eggs. This happened twice, two years apart. The first time, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The second time, I now see that they really don’t want to do black hair. They will use extreme heat and/or chemicals to make your hair more manageable. If you don’t want to do it, JUST SAY NO. It’s okay. It’s better than severely damaging someone’s hair."
