"I walked into this Supercuts after being turned away from a barbershop in Temple Terrace. My 7 yr old son hasn't wanted to cut his hair in 18 months or longer. He wants it long and calls it his "hockey hair". Well, I go to a barber shop highly recommended to me and they told me to go to a lady's shop because we don't cut hair like that. I left wondering where to go for a kid’s trim. My friend suggested Hair Cuttery, but that's not nearby. I found this Super Cuts on Yelp! I walked in and it was 5:15 pm and 3 people were waiting and only 2 stylists. The one female Latina stylist (Martha?) was wrapping up for the day because she came in at 9 am. The male stylist (David) was left to attend to everyone. He was so calm and greeted everyone and chatted with people. He took his time, had great attention to detail, wasn't flustered by several children waiting for cuts and adults. He was patient when a 5 yr old boy started crying. We waited for 1.25 hrs. He was so sweet to us when it was finally my son’s turn. He noticed that my son's hair was dreaded/matted in three areas. David calmly showed me how to use a thicker conditioner to work through it. I was so embarrassed and said I won't let him comb his hair again. My husband thinks he's ready to care for it himself. He clearly isn't! David said his son has thicker, tighter curls and knows how it can be hard to care for curly hair. He was absolutely lovely and professional. My son cried because it was hurting some when he was combing through his hair. David stopped and apologized and said let him know anytime if it hurts. The shop should've closed at 7 pm but he finished the cut with us at 7:30 pm. It took about 30-45 mins to work out the knots in my sons hair. David was phenomenal and I highly recommend. Thank you so much for not making this a traumatic experience and your willingness to stay late with us. I’ve provided a before and after photo. His trim turned out perfectly!"
