Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa

"We have been satisfied customers of Pinch A Penny #5, on Lakeland Highlands Road, in South Lakeland. (P-A-P) for almost 30 years, and have always been pleased with their no pressure sales and service. When it came time to resurface our pool it made sense to reach out to Ryan, at Pinch A Penny, for a recommendation. Talking with him, he informed me that they had recently gotten into the pool resurfacing business. His bid was very competitive and his projected start time was much, much quicker than others contacted. After a long discussion about the bids we received, my wife and I decided to go with P-A-P to resurface our pool.They promised a two week start date, and even with all of the summer rain, the project started right on time. From beginning, to the time they started refilling our pool, it took only 4-days. WOW! Josh was on the site every day, as promised, making sure that it went smoothly. He made sure we were informed of the day's activities and we understood what was to happen next. He personally made sure the sub-contractors kept the mess to a minimum and the area was clean at the end of the workday. With minimum disruption, the process was flawless, mostly due to Josh's diligence in managing the work. His followup made the project go smoothly for us. They are now in the process of getting our chemicals balanced and ready for swimming (Hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday of this week). They have been on site everyday since the completion of the pool checking the chemicals and brushing the pool. You couldn't ask for a better job. A job well done at the promised price and completed on the promised schedule. Thanks for the quality service. "Everyone at the store is so helpful and takes the time to listen to my pool issues and get us back in the pool. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars at another place to try and get my pool blue (which wasn't working) I came to them, they put together a plan for me and didn't have me buying unnecessary chemicals. Clear Blue Pool in days!!!! The whole staff has great customer service skills."

"Have been with this store for a while and have had good service. It has tanked over the past months with staff saying they would come to diagnose heater problems (promised to come three times and did not, no call). Now weekly service has my pool green with stain. When I finally caught the worker he answered he hadn’t been adding any salt and that his testing system is broken so he’s just been shocking every week. That’s NOT how the system works! I immediately told him to leave and went to the store. I asked for at least a month’s refund and was told I got it, we will see. I asked for Ryan, the owner, to call me, but doubt he will. I have paid them to do weekly service and they are not. Very dishonest! Sad when this happens to local businesses. Beware! We will look elsewhere!"
