Brooklyn Water Bagel

"This morning was my first time visiting the establishment. When I stepped up to the counter I told the woman I wanted Nova cream cheese and before I could even finish she cut me off and told me I needed to pick a bagel. I told her I wanted an everything bagel (I saw these were available online). She said "we don't have any, whats over there is all we have!" I read on the website that they have fresh bagels cooked every morning. I came in about 10 something, so I was surprised they had such few options. Overhearing another customer, she finally said their oven went out this morning and they wouldn't be making any more bagels today. Why not tell people that from the beginning or post a sign? She rang up my order and as I was paying she walked off to the next register and started helping the next guest. It was very rude. I never got my receipt and she never looked back in my direction. Service was not good. It being my first visit, her behavior definitely rubbed me the wrong way. The customers were inconvenienced and she was acting annoyed that customers were asking about the lack of products. As I waited for my food, I watched her and the other workers interact with customers, they were very brash and unapologetic. No smiles. Seems like the team could use some training."

"Highly recommend this place! The customer service was amazing and the food was fresh and super delicious! I got a #7 corn beef hashed bagel on a poppy seed bagel. The chocolate chip cookie I ordered was so fresh and good that it didn’t make it to the picture lol. The iced coffee has a machine that dispenses frozen iced coffee cubes! My favorite flavor is the banana caramel. Highly recommend. Also download the app if you like discounts :P"

"A bagel that didn’t disappoint. We ordered the Williamsburg and the Brooklyn. The salmon and onion was crisp and fresh, the egg was creamy and delicious on the Brooklyn. Not the best ever but you won’t be disappointed."

"Long time local review: Been coming here for years. The bagels are fresh and delicious, especially the Whole Wheat Everything. Still haven’t found another place with that. Cream cheese is good here too. Staff is friendly, though they got that SoFla/Brooklyn attitude, which makes it a little authentic but can be off-putting at times too. A few pointers: - whole wheat eveything, nuff said - this new Carnegie deli pastrami egg sandwich is overrated. If you do try it, either replace the cheddar with Swiss or don’t get cheese at all. - always go with the iced coffee. The frozen coffee ice cubes are a must. - coffee probably isn’t as fresh later in the morning so come as early as you can for the fresher cup of Joe. - disappointing they don’t offer non-pork options, especially when they’re located in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish area. - Staff can be a little, well, unprofessional at times. I’ve noticed not the greatest hygienic practices so just be observant how they handle your food. Overall, Brooklyn Water Bagel has been a great stop for me and my friends and family. They rarely disappoint and it’s been a very nostalgic spot to check out, especially when you get to watch them make the bagels fresh through the window. Enjoy!"
