The Steen Family Event & Education Center, located at 1012 East Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a vibrant institution founded by Rabbi Schneur & Devorah Kaplan, emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Since 2003, the Downtown Jewish Center Chabad has been dedicated to serving God and reaching out to the community with an inclusive approach based on the teachings of Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson.

Our communal services are filled with joyous spirituality, bringing congregants together through song, personal expression, and meditation in prayer. We offer a variety of educational classes and study sessions that have become a hallmark of our community, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to foster a lifelong passion for learning and exploration in children.

At the heart of our mission is providing the highest quality Hebrew and Judaic education to a diverse community of Jewish children. Our interdisciplinary educational approach aims to nurture and build the foundation of each child's Jewish identity, instilling a love for learning and Judaism. Our dedicated teachers strive to inspire a twofold love in their students.
