Reviews of Patrona Coastal Café
"Beautiful views and great vibes but be prepared to wait an hour for your food and coffee. I would order ahead online. But the girl was very nice about it! Food and coffee ended up being good"
"SUCH A CUTE SPOT! I recently discovered this cafe and couldn’t believe I wasn’t in a luscious Clearwater (if there weren’t any tourists)! I have many great things to say about this place. SERVICE: Every person I met was an absolute bundle of joy and I felt like I was on a little vacation! I went here when it was in the middle of the week in the morning, so it was pretty empty. Because of this, I felt like I was so attended to and really got to connect with the staff! The women who checked us out and helped me as a first timer, Caroline, made my day! She told me some great menu items and gave me a tip on where to sit to view the dolphins! We even had a bit of trouble with the kitchen being out of certain menu items and she was SO accommodating. ATMOSPHERE: It doesn’t get more calm, breezy, and beachier than this! I was in awe of every view, table, and piece of decor! I was also lucky to visit on an amazing 65-70 deg. windy day. I felt like all of my worries had left me! I also saw a lot of dolphins from the view of the cafe. FOOD: The food is very cute and what you would expect from a cafe like this. I go here more for the view and experience, and I’m not a huge coffee or brunch person. Nevertheless, they have a great selection of food and drinks. I enjoyed their strawberry coffee latte, which had a great sweetness mixed with bitterness of coffee. I also shared a plate of their biscuits + gravy, along with their peanut butter and banana toast. their biscuits and gravy are divine, especially if you enjoy lobster. As for the peanut butter and banana toast, nothing special, but it’s good! Try this place out, I’m so glad I found it!"
"This is a great little spot. I was visiting a friend in St Pete and this was the 3rd time I’ve been in 2 trips. The breakfast is really good. I had the coastal croissant and the rooster breakfast sandwich the last two trips. The food and coffee are good but it’s a little pricey for what we got. Two large lattes and 2 sandwiches with home fries was around $40. So that’s why I feel like this is a 4 star. It’s good. The view is nice. The service is ok. I don’t expect much from a food truck but they did tell me they wouldn’t make any substitutions when I tried to switch my bread. It’s just pricey for the product that you get. And our iced latte we got Togo had a lid that didn’t fit so it ended up spilling all in the car and dripping when we took it inside. For $10/cup it should probably have a better container it comes in."
"I really wanted to love this place. The location and ambience is great. The coconut latte was great as well. The only downside was the wait. I would say we waited over 30 minutes. Partly our fault for going at 11am on a Saturday and only getting coffee. Next time, and we will return, I will order food as well to justify the wait."
"We LOVED this breakfast spot! Atmosphere is tropical and shaded with views of the water and boats. If you only have a short time in the area you can get very relaxing florida vibes here. Excellent spot close to airport. Food: breakfast tacos are made in front of you at a tiki shack with lots of toppings! Coffee: expensive, tasty options"
