"DCF employees are lazy rude. They should be working in McDonald’s because they lack empathy and customer service skills. The worst part about it is that I lovely government allows this by having these automated systems that most of the time are not working doesn’t hold their employees accountable. They can hang up on consumers they could choose whether or not they want to pick up the phone or not you have to call them for months and months to get anything accomplished with them, this is so sad that in the United States so many people need help yet we can’t even get help from our government because of lazy employees like this. When is the government going to hold these lazy government employees accountable for their actions they’re not helping anybody this is why our country is so screwed up, and we have so much homelessness, poverty and crime. Cause people need help and DCF Does not help anyone they want you to beg for their services"
"End of the Day; everyone was tired. But I was only one in Line Both finished Up and Were filing away on computer. Then One packed Up purse and walked off after I'd been standing at line. Didn't even Look Up. Waited patiently for the other one to finish pecking away. 2 minutes later she motioned me forward and gave me a form. Know More tomorrow. I can barely Walk and Stand For any length of Time! Been in hospital and back Three times After surgery. Septus at one point. Anemia..? But nothing specific. Mud Scientist is out of business and I'm getting application for Food Stamps. Maybe More tomorrow! Best Rj"
"Everyone who’s commenting about how bad this place is and the lack of communication thereof should realize this is by design. They want to make it as hard as possible for you to get any assistance, as single parent who needs to get their newborn on Medicaid it’s been impossible to get any communication with DCF. As a taxpayer who works to provide for his families and struggle should not be put on the back burner left to dry while people who are coming in illegally get more assistance than those who have been contributing to our country and state. If the governor cared even one bit about his residents in Florida this should be one of his top priorities, as a lawful citizen and taxpayer do not disrespect us like this."
"Tomorrow makes 1 month since I applied I selected the online paperless way to go and instead I got snail mail causing me to miss the deadline to turn in the things my case worker needed. I called her and she said it was fine. It’s now been a week and there is a complete halt in my case and I have 5 mouths that need to be fed. I’m literally having to dip into my rent money to buy food for my family. What do I do? Is there a way to report her negligence?"
"I've been trying to get Medicaid coverage for over a month and a half now. I've regularly checked in. Last time I did what I was told to come in in 2 weeks if you haven't heard from us. 2 weeks pass, I go in to be told because I don't fall into 1 of 4 categories(have kids, pregnant, disabled, or over 65) I am not eligible. Nobody up until now has said anything to me about that. I've talked to people on the phone, I've gone in, nobody has said "hey, since you don't fall into one of these 4 categories, you aren't eligible". I've wasted so much time being ran around, getting verifications, sending paystubs, etc. and all anyone had to say was since you do not fall into these 4 categories you're not eligible. Why was I even able to apply?"
