"My son has been here since it was mis Ginny's. It used to be a terrible place. Mostly because of the old director. The new director is amazing. The teachers are simply good with my son and work well with him. He's very attention driven and can be a trouble maker."
"If some of the other daycare's are sharing the same rating as this place, then as a parent you have to do due diligence. I came in for a tour of the Lakewood Dr location and quickly walked back out. The staff was rude , the place was dark and looked dirty. There was a smell of old diapers mixed with Fabuloso and a room full of sick kids. I know that some people don't have any other options and I suppose then this would be the place to put your kid. Surprised they are licensed to operate."
"I have never experienced child care like daycare centers in Tampa/Brandon. They aren't stable the care is subpar. The sense of urgency and handle inappropriate. As a parent I should feel rest assured that my son is in great hands and that doesn't happen much. I will be seeking a different child care provider because there have been entirely too many situations at this daycare to allow it to go unnoticed. A daycare expects for their tuition to be paid on time and I as a parent expect for when I pull up to the center that their are lights.... Caring teaches and a stable establishment. Not to receive phone calls at my job about the lights being off and my child needs to be picked up or even drop him off in the morning and there aren't lights until almost noon time. It's inacceptable and I have truly had enough."
"I am not sure about negative comments received, but choosing a pre-school is one of the hardest tasks. As parents, we do all the ground work, do so many tours but finally it's the child's happiness that matters. And we got that at Mis' Ginny's. My child (5 yrs) enjoys it completely. She is so happy to go school every morning. Her vocabulary improved, she loves reading now. The teachers are committed, affectionate and take good care. We are extremely happy to have found Mis' Ginny's."
"Absolutely terrible business and really unprofessional on how they verbally interact. I did not feel like I was in Brandon, I will tell you that. The place was not very clean for starters, but that is not even a portion of why I am writing this review. I took my 3 yr old daughter to Mis' Ginny's daycare. For starters, it is ironic that the name of a school is not grammatically correct, which should have been my first indicator. On the first day, I informed them that my daughter was allergic to foods containing wheat/gluten. The woman who runs the daycare informed me that they would need a note from a doctor stating so, which believe it or not is not the easiest thing in the world to obtain. I set her a doctors appointment for that Wednesday and asked the daycare to please not give her the school lunch and that my daughter would be bringing in a lunch that she could eat and not get sick. She informed me that they had to offer the daycare provided lunch to my daughter however the daycare did not tell me that they were not going to allow her to eat her gluten free lunch that I had prepared for her that day. While my daughter initially refused, because she knows that the food provided by the daycare would have made her sick, they forced her to eat the daycare provided lunch. Of course, when she came home sick that evening and told me what happened, I was rather disappointed. When I spoke to the Mis' Ginny's the following day about it, they informed me that they would not feed her the lunch I sent her in with until they received a doctor's note. When I was trying to reconfirm her stance on the issue, I asked "so even if I tell you that my daughter will become ill if you feed this to her, because of your policies, you are still going to feed it to her and consciously make my daughter ill, she replied "I am sorry, but yes". First of all, at what point does that fall into "neglect" or "abuse"? Secondly, just because I voiced my opinion in front of other parents, they told the mother of my daughter, that I was not welcome back in the daycare. I did not curse or get loud with anyone there, just stated that if this is how they wish to operate their daycare, then I would start looking for another daycare for my daughter. It would be a big mistake to take your kids there!"
