Reviews of Cafe Caladesi
"There was only one employee working - so he was trying to balance ringing folks up and cooking food orders. Took a while to just buy a pair of sunglasses, maybe 7-8 minutes we waited until he was done cooking so he could ring us up. It was nice having the cafe as an option, and we did buy a couple beers later and there was not a line. But I am glad we packed our own lunch, as it looked like from the time people got off the boat, ordered, and received their food it was over half an hour. I appreciated that they had sunscreen, bug spray, towels, flip flops, etc in case something was forgotten. It looked like they also rented beach chairs and other beach items, and kayaks at times."
"Overpriced frozen food. $1.50 extra to add a single slice of processed cheese to a frozen burger? $15 for a can of bug spray? $37 for a tshirt? Haha get real. Price gouging on a nice island because they are the only spot. They have such potential to serve great food at reasonable prices but are a total let down. Pack your lunch instead."
"12 dollars for a frozen hamburger. 6 dollars for frozen frys. I mean the food was not bad just insane price for cheap frozen food. Bring your own food you will he happier."
"So of course being on a island with no other food service, things cost more, one cheeseburger with no fires is 11 bucks, kinda stiff, but it was tasty, and it was pretty thick, not some flat nasty patty, chicken fingers with fries was 13 bucks, but they were good. Overall it's really convenient to have a place to go and get out of the sun to get a second wind, just be prepared to spend some bucks, staff was friendly, and professional."
