"Incredible paved trail to ride bicycles through the heart of the river of grass! Great place for wildlife photography. Gators, crocs, birds and fish are all abundant here. I went on a brisk winter day and can’t imagine doing it in the summer. Get there before the parking lot fills up at 10am, because it’s one car out, one car in after that."
"A pleasant easy to walk trail with tons of Everglades wildlife to see along the way. Great for gator and bird watching. Family friendly for all ages and there is a guided tram service (for a fee) for those who do not want to walk all 15 miles of the trail."
"If you are a wildlife enthusiast and want an Everglades experience I recommend a bicycle ride along the trail. It is 15 miles round trip and there is a stop off mid point at the observation tower where you can cool off and refill on water. It is such a diverse ecosystem and there is new wildlife within a few feet of you throughout your trip on the trail. I was there in the heat of the day and I am sure if you go early you will see much more wildlife. Water is a must here as there are only two places to refill (at the entrance and the observation tower). Use sunscreen or be prepared to burn and make sure you have insect spray. There are biting flies here so if you do not have insect spray be prepared to be overwhelmed. Proper preparation will provide a wonderful nature experience. I highly recommend a visit!"
"Definitely good exercise and worth the drive. Don't rent the bicycles just go for a nice long walk. So much more to see on foot. Take your time look around."
