"This is a charming museum - and Leigh was a wealth of information about the area---The museum has excellent displays and there are videos you can watch about how sugar is made and the history of Clewiston and even about the citrus industry-- If in the area I highly recommend a visit here-- its a great way to understand why this area is so important and how the sugar industry got started here..."
"Im ex RAF and was really interested in the RAF section of the museum. The museum is a great place to see local history as well."
"Very interesting on how sugar cane turns into sugar we buy in grocery store. Many relics to look at"
"This museum is a hidden gem of the Okeechobee area. It is a shame that they don't have good financing and the roof seems to be leaking. But the people working there are amazing, the museum itself is talking about the history of the area from the prehistoric era, having mammoth fossils and much more."
"This little gem of history is easily accessible from eastern Palm Beach County. It is very close to Lake Okeechobee and only about half an hour from Lion Country Safari. Great place to bring the grandchildren to learn about prehistoric Florida and the story of sugar farming in south Florida. Wonderful docents will help you enjoy this cute little museum."
