"Does not disappoint! Two hours and 6 miles, up close and personal with birds. Turtles and gators not so much, which is fine! Saw the turtles and gators from a distance. One part of the path was pretty wet so I’m glad I had on water shoes, other than that, great day to be outside!"
"An expansive, warm, quiet, semi-open area with lots of Palmettos, mowed walk-ways with littke⁹ information placards, several very large retention pools that may be popular with waterfowl in season. I saw a Pileated Woodpecker and a very distant, probable otter. There is a "pit toilet " and ample parking."
"I came in for more information due to a finding an injured wildlife and the lady that worked at the office got in her car, covered her face and drove off And her gray car. She drove off so swiftly that she forgot to turn on her headlights."
"So much wildlife and diversity. From shaded canopy trails to open wetland areas, this spot has a little bit of everything. This was the first time I had been out and man is this area expansive. From a 3 mile loop to a covered overlook, benches, and trails. You can explore this place for a lifetime and always see something new. Come enjoy a scenic hike."
"We come here often to enjoy a quiet walk. So much wildlife, plenty of benches along the path, and a lookout tower. Great for runners looking for a flat, grass path without roots. There is NO shade so plan accordingly! Bathrooms are not bad and definitely better than a port-o-potty. Not a ton of parking but we’ve never had an issue. Bring your camera and binoculars and watch out for gators lurking on the edges!!"
