St. Andrews State Park
About the Business
St. Andrews State Park, located at 4607 State Park Lane in Panama City, Florida, is a popular tourist attraction and park. The park offers a unique experience with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and St. Andrews Bay on the other, providing opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and surfing. Visitors can purchase tickets for the shuttle to Shell Island online or at the park, with credit cards accepted.
The park has a rich history, with Theodore Tollofson, also known as "Teddy the Hermit," homesteading in his shipwrecked boat at the park for 25 years after a hurricane in 1929. Today, visitors can enjoy the sugar white sands, emerald green waters, and diverse wildlife that drew Teddy to St. Andrews.
St. Andrews State Park is a popular migratory stopover for many bird and butterfly species, making it a great spot for birdwatching. The park also offers a mile-and-a-half of pristine beaches for fishing and swimming, as well as opportunities to explore the pine forests, dunes, and coastal plant communities. Visitors can even stay overnight in the campground.
Whether you're looking to relax on the beach, explore nature, or spot migratory birds, St. Andrews State Park offers something for everyone to enjoy.

"We loved St. Andrews State Park, we didn’t want to leave. It was so nice to sit at our beautiful campsite and watch the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee. It was a lot of fun to go to schooner’s restaurant and watch the beautiful sunset and watch the restaurant shoot off the cannon at sunset. We loved all the wildlife roaming around in the park and the beaches were so beautiful soft white sand, everything you want to do is really close to the park. Oh did I say we didn’t want to leave, we can’t wait to go back. This place is a must to put on your bucket list Twice!!"
"We stayed in St. Andrew's RV Park for 2 weeks, we loved it. The RV spaces are large, clean, and roomy with beautiful views! The trip to Shell Island was worth it, we had an awesome adventure shell hunting and sunbathing. We will definitely come back."
"This is a great place to camp (RV, tent, van). Well maintained. Nice bath houses. Access to great hiking trails, beach, boat ramp, wildlife (abundant deer), camp store, pier stores have golf cart & bike rentals. Small wildlife museum where you check in is great for kids. RV pads are spacious with campsite grill and fire ring. Also, check the dates for a shuttle out to Shell Island."
"We visited on a Saturday in January. No one there but it was a cool day (40s). Gorgeous park. Plenty of parking. Easy to navigate around. Fun to watch big ships going through the channel. Beautiful beach."
