Crab Island

"Without a doubt, Crab Island was the most memorable part of our trip to Destin. This was such a memorable trip for us !! One of our many family trips !!! We enjoyed every minute and every hour till the last day! There are floating bars and restaurants and an inflatable playground, though we elected to just drop anchor at the outskirts of the area for more peace and quiet. My daughter loves the water and she loved our pontoon's water slide and floating on the lily pad, and my husband and I had a couple adult beverages and we were jamming to music!"

We rented our boat from Crab Daddy's Pontoons (roughly 15-20 minute boat ride away) and have nothing but great things to say about them. If possible, try to time your trip to roughly 2 hours before and after high tide (Google search "Destin tide chart"), when the water is at its clearest and an adult can still stand in the water pretty easily. There are floating bars and restaurants and an inflatable playground, though we elected to just drop anchor at the outskirts of the area for more peace and quiet. The children loved our pontoon's water slide and floating on the lily pad, and the adults our frosty beverages and jamming to music over the boat's Bluetooth audio system."
