"This by far has been my favorite movie theater in all of Miami. It gives off a very clean and modern vibe. The seats are reclinable, have a little lamp, and are very well taken care of. There is also a fancy bar on the first floor of the theater in case you want to get some drinks. The food is not my favorite, but the customer service is amazing !"
"Very nice cinema, where it’s also a sports bar. The VIP auditorium was on the perfect temperature and the staff brought our requests in our seats, super fast! The restrooms there were clean and modern. Popcorn was spot on! Great cinema experience."
"Movie theaters have lost their appeal over time, especially thanks to todays big screen hires TVs at home, but the reclining seats and limited audience with the immersive sound makes going to the movies a must for action and fx movies. Cmx is top for comfort , although quite expensive for tickets but more so for concession food and drinks."
"I gave a 20% tip to have someone legit just take my order. Paying automatic gratuity before I received any service seems like a con - I NEVER saw the server again. Because guess what? 50 minutes later my drink still didn’t arrive. Not sure why they have a call button because for 10-15 minutes no one acknowledged it. I ended up leaving my movie to find someone. Gimlet drink was trash and 3/4 full of ice so I’d suggest wine or beer. Also, they need to fix the sensors for the bathroom sinks and soap dispensers. Have fun hopping from sink to sink trying to find one that works - good way to make friends in the bathroom."
"So so experience, and I wouldn't consider visiting again. CMX considers this a "VIP" style theater which was advertised on the side of the building. Too many negatives for me. PROS: Absolutely loved the seating. The fully reclined chairs include individual reading lights, swivel eating trays, and two cup holders per person. Each chair also has a call button for the waiter. There's "table service" at each seat with a good selection of food and drink choices (including alcohol). Prior to the movie, they played nice music with a corresponding "screen saver" type of visual, which I found relaxing. The lobby included a bar and a bunch of comfortable seating inside and out. There were also a lot of TVs inside and a few outside, which had sporting events playing. The restrooms were large with digital advertising on each faucet (... see photos.) CONS: There were many kiosks in the lobby to purchase tickets without going to the counter. Sadly, these didn't appear to work, and there were handwritten signs to go to the counter. Upon arriving at the counter, there was one person working even though a line had formed and two other people walked by. It wasn't until a manager walked by that one additional person showed up to help. (I was there on a Saturday at 3 pm). When you get your ticket, they give you this large menu to carry around until you get to your seat in the theater. This is so dumb! They spent money on technology to advertise on a faucet, but they couldn't figure out what many other restaurants have already done with a digital option to order and pay from your seat. While I noted the table service above was an advantage. I meant the part about the orders getting delivered to your table. Since they don't have a digital ordering service, that means some person comes up to take orders and blocks your view of the movie while they do so. Also, the call button to get a waiter is an advantage IF IT WORKED! We were the first in the theater, ordered a regular popcorn that never came even though we saw everyone else getting theirs. I asked some waiters for status, but still none. I had to go out to the bar in the lobby and ask the bartender, and 10 minutes after the movie started, it finally arrived. Meanwhile, the cost of everything (except the tickets) is over-priced. We ordered a brussel sprout appetizer, popcorn, vanilla shake, and one cocktail.... $89! The food was good but it wasn't that damn good! The staff didn't appear to be happy to work there or care about providing good service. Finally, there were many stalls available in the bathroom, yet 50% them were out of order, covered with black bags. Of the stalls that could be used, less than half of those were clean "enough" to use. I gave two stars for the good food, nice chairs and concept. BUT, the state of this place and service is pathetic. To self proclaim as a "VIP" of theaters is an embarrassment. DO BETTER!"
