Reviews of Clay County Fairgrounds
"If you're looking for the best agricultural fair in the United States, look no further than the Clay County Fair! This incredible event, hosted by the Clay County Fair Commission & the Deggler company, truly has it all, from thrilling rides to amazing food, and everything in between. One of my personal favorite activities at the fair is the Pig Races. These little pigs are so cute and entertaining to watch as they run around the track, and the crowd always gets so excited when their favorite pig wins. It's a great way to spend a sunny afternoon with friends and family. We also love the frisbee dogs but find the MC to be off putting, narcissistic & he seems to like to hear himself talk rather than just allow the dogs to steal the show. Can never sit through entire show. The Deggler company really goes above and beyond to ensure that this fair is the best of the best. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence is evident in everything from the rides to the food. Speaking of food, the local food trucks are fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious treats to choose from. And the food vendors associated with the Deggler company are just as impressive, with some of the best fair food you'll ever taste. While the level of happiness among fair employees may not have been as high as in previous years, it was still much better than most encounters you'll have at retail outlets since the pandemic. The staff at the Clay County Fair work hard to make sure that everyone has a great time, and they do an excellent job. Overall, I highly recommend the Clay County Fair to anyone looking for a fun and exciting event. This is a 5+ star fair that truly lives up to its reputation as the best agricultural fair in the USA. Whether you're interested in rides, food, animals, or just a fun day out with friends and family, this fair has something for everyone. Don't miss out on the chance to experience it for yourself!"
"Enjoyed our time at the fair! Loved how many options there was. Also plenty of places to go and get the same old fair foods without having to make an hour long line. The rides had a long line, but not overly bad, maybe 15-20 min wait(friday night). Loved the butter sculpture and the pig race."
"We were visiting from Georgia and went to the Fair on Monday evening. It's the most organized fair I've ever been to. Parking was organized. The Trans was so helpful because I had my elderly mother with me. We easily got a ride to and from the parking lot. They did a good job monitoring the weather and making announcements over the loud speaker. Lines were not too long and ride workers were nice. I lost my keys and they were turned into Guest Services, it only took about 15 minutes to locate the keys once I realized they were missing. So thankful for that! The Lemonade was a little disappointing but the food was great and we had a great time!"
"We had a really great time at the fair. Enjoyed seeing the many different attractions here.Lots of food here to choose from. We were able to see some of the truck pull that was happening. That was exciting and loud to. Lots of power with those trucks. Over all great experience. Wonderful evening at the fair."
"Home of the Northeast Florida Scottish Games and Festival, the Clay County fairgrounds has become a place of annual celebration and cherished memories. More than just a cultural exhibition or mere passage through minor nostalgia, the Scottish games held here comprise a variety of different competitions, activities, entertainment, vendors, food trucks and most importantly a gathering place for those of Scottish heritage. The dance competition, pipe and drum corps competition, athletics competition and lineup of awesome musicians make this a very real and enduring cultural event that congeals and propels our collective heritage and Scottish identity forward into the future. It's also a lot of fun for the whole family with lots of events and food items that everyone can enjoy. The welcoming atmosphere of the entire event and all its participants make for a community-wide event as well in which everyone is welcome!"
