Reviews of Spinz
"I have skated since I was 5 years old and just recently picked it back up after a very long break. Spinz is the only roller rink in Ft Myers right now. I give Spinz 3 stars for a few reasons: 1. The concrete floor - I understand it was replaced due to Hurricane Ian, but I hope it can be upgraded to wood in the future! 2. During the daytime sessions, especially, during the kids using the skate helpers, THERE NEEDS TO FLOOR MONITORING. I like to skate too and sometimes I can only go the during the day. Many times these young kids with their skate helpers come flying out in front of me, or falling in front of someone and their skate helper flying out from them - hitting them or someone and knocking them down. Also, these young kids have no supervision. There are kids that go the wrong way, cut across in front of skaters or come onto the rink like maniacs without looking where they are going. So dangerous! To the parents that do supervise their kids - THANK YOU!! 3. I'm here during the winter season - I wish they were open more. With the crowds I have seen so far, it would appear they have business more during the winter season for at least one more extra ADULT night per month. 4. Staffing at the check-in and skate rental need to be more customer oriented. Young adults today just don't get it. Work for a living and HELP PEOPLE!! I was given a broken skate, it was missing a toe stop. When I returned it to get a new skate, the 2 young girls at the rental counter looked at me like - I was interrupting them, they couldn't be bothered and as if I removed the toe stop. The equipment needs to be checked over after EVERY return, they would have seen the the toe stop was missing in the first place, or that laces are broke, or straps are torn, etc...., these things need to be replaced prior to being given out to the next person. 5. There are other things I could bring up but these are just a few. The main thing is that more supervision is needed for the little ages at least 8 and under. I do love to skate!"
"BEST PLACE TO HAVE FAMILY FUN IN FORT MYERS! The owner and manager are the best! I miss being able to request songs, there was a DJ named Mac he had excellent customer service, helping his fellow employees, extremely great with the kids, and always had the sound quality the best. We noticed he would clean the parking lot and help out while still handling the music and lights! Not only did he always kept eyes on the floor for safety but he always made sure that customers are happy! We hope to see him again soon, huge reason why we keep coming back!"
"This was my first time at Spinz...and I don't know how I feel about it yet. We got to Spinz just before 1 p.m. for a birthday and waited in a fairly long line to get in. Halfway through waiting, we overheard a parent say that birthday guests can bypass the line...that would have been great to know. A sign outside would have been perfect. We checked in for the birthday, and then waited in line to rent skates. Once at the counter, we were told we needed to now go back outside, wait in line, and sign a waiver. We waited in line for about 10 minutes, only to be told that certain adult-sized rental skates were sold out. The employee was very helpful and checked to confirm there were a few pairs left. We skated for a while on the rink which was nice and well-kept, but WAY overcrowded. All of the employees except two seemed miserable and burnt out. The manager was bouncing around, but hearing her speak to her employees, she is definitely a dictator. After skating we played arcade games...or at least tried, but 90% were not working. So is it worth it for $30+ for two people...no. Not without some changes. Maybe it was an off day. We will try it again."
"We went for a birthday party. First time I have put skates on in 30 years. My kids, my wife, everyone had so much fun. They had staff who brought out all the food and drinks, all of them were friendly and you could tell it's managed by great people. We found the prices are affordable for families and can't wait to go back! We are glad we found this place on FortMyersKids."
"Went for a birthday party for the first time. Awesome hidden place in Fort Mayers. This place is for kids and adults, lots of kids learning how to skate. They rent the skate or you can bring yours. There is a play area with a few game machines. The birthday area is not too well distributed in my opinion, I didn’t like that all the tables for different events are all together and very packed. There is also a small cafeteria and a few tables. My kids didn’t like that the music was way too loud, but other than that they were very happy. I recommend you try it first before you do a birthday. And is a must try for skate practice and learning!! I will visit again for sure!"
