The park also offers pavilions on a first-come, first-served basis.
In October 2022, construction began on an expansion project at Lehigh Acres Park, transforming it into a regional park. The expansion includes new fields for football and soccer, pickleball courts, walking trails, a disc golf course, an additional playground, and other amenities. The construction is expected to be completed by early 2024.
Originally donated by Lehigh Corporation in 1976, Lehigh Acres Park has been a beloved community space for decades. The park's football field was built and dedicated in the same year. Visitors are encouraged to contact the assigned Land Stewardship Coordinator or the Lee County Property Appraisers office for additional information.

"Veterans Park is beautiful. I go here for my 2 mile walks, it's always peaceful, very pretty, clean, the people are friendly, the squirrels are so friendly too lol. There are free tennis courts, handball court, kiddy sprinkler area, playground, party areas with BBQ. Very nice place for events, working out, long walks, or just some peaceful time in nature."
