Reviews of Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium
"My 13 year old son and I went tonight to the show at the planetarium. This was the first experience for both of us and it was fantastic. Anyone who is interested in the stars and astronomy would really enjoy this. There were also telescopes set up that were being shared with anyone who wanted to see Jupiter. Everyone was super nice and the gentleman who hosted the show was quite funny! We drove out from Lakeland and it was worth it"
"Derek was very entertaining and informative. It is very entertaining for all ages and you can tell a lot of effort was put into the show. I would happily come back! Just remember to bring cash as they only accept cash and check. All of this is posted on the website. The people on here upset that they couldn’t see the show due to not getting there on time are being extremely unreasonable. There is a very finite capacity in the observatory and the reservation system that was in place before resulted in a half empty auditorium and less chances to see to r show."
"Mr. Derek and his presentation were phenomenal! It was a wonderful time. The presentation was very informative and highly entertaining! I definitely recommend one of their shows for anyone interested in space or who has kids and want to do something different as a family."
"Derrick was wonderful! The experience was immersive and he was very funny. Thank you for a good birthday show!"
"As the head of the middle school Science program at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, I have had the pleasure of working with Derek Demeter and experiencing his outreach program at the Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium firsthand. And let me tell you, it is truly awesome! Derek has been coming out to our school for several years now to host Star nights for our students, and each time he manages to capture their imaginations and teach them something new about the universe we live in. His presentations are engaging, interactive, and incredibly informative, and he always manages to find a way to make complex scientific concepts accessible to students of all ages. But what really sets Derek and the Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium apart is their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure that all students have access to their program, even during difficult times like the Covid pandemic. They were quick to adapt to the new reality of virtual learning, offering online outreach work and Zoom calls to ensure that our students could still learn about the stars and planets even when they couldn't physically be together. Overall, I would highly recommend Derek Demeter and the Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium's outreach program to any school or organization looking to inspire a love of science and exploration in their students. Their passion for astronomy is contagious, and their dedication to making sure that all students have access to their program is truly admirable."
