"Unethical business practices! Upon returning the sandals I purchased, I requested a refund. The salesperson told me I could have had refund if I returned them within 24 hours. I purchased them on Sunday and went to return them on Tuesday; they are closed on Mondays. I pointed this out to her, but she then said, “well…our store policy is return for store credit only”. I can understand that, but that is not what I was originally told. She then wrote up the store credit, minus the tax I paid. I asked her about refunding my tax and she then said, “that is the way I was trained”. I told her that practice was illegal. I then requested that the owner get in touch with me and was told she would. After not hearing from the owner for a week I asked again for her to contact me, but no contact was made. Owner finally texted me and told me she would call and also told me they would refund my taxes. She never called! I went back to use the credit, guess what, they never refunded my taxes, this is illegal!!! Other reviews have also had similar experiences. I do support local shops in Stuart and will continue to do so. However, this shop will no longer be one I buy from. I will now order any items she sells from Amazon, where I have free returns and refunds and guess what…the prices are better. Many other customers have said the same."
"So I walked into shop today for the first time. I look around, then I noticed Stick Figure was playing. Was not sure at first, because volume was low. So I say something to the girl at register. And she smiled and turned it up. We proceed to talk about Reggae. She recommended The Movement. I have been listening to them for hour now on my trip back home. She was spot on!!! As we talked about our love for Reggae she helped me find the perfect pair of flip flops. I didn’t get her name but I did look at receipt. Name said Pookie, I am guessing it is a fun nickname which I love by the way. Thank you for the help with the knowledge of sandals. And the great conversation. See yay in 4 years when I make the move or maybe even sooner. I marked this place as a favorite on google."
"My husband needs shoes with a lot of support and the owner was able to recommend a great pair of water shoes for him. He also takes a size 14, so finding a brand that works is very difficult. Thanks for your guidance!"
"There are many reasons why I recommend this very special store… starting from the setting to the personal touch: - The setting: it is located within historic Stuart. Just window shopping through this lovely old fashioned street filled with unique locally-owned stores will lift your spirits. Going inside this and other quaint stores will reveal so many truly one-of-a-kind finds. The area is also packed with nostalgic tiny restaurants, some of which have converted parking stalls into tiny “pocket parks” for outdoor dining. Other adjacent restaurants offer converted Victorian homes with front yard seating, tiki bars with live music, or New Orleans type elegant charm. - The store: Once you enter this store, which showcases a giant flip-flop at its entrance, you are surrounded by everything sandals, flip-flops, slip-on shoes and other comfortable casual footwear. I saw brands like Reef and Oofos (recommended by my orthopedist because of the built-in arch). - The personal touch: a big shoutout to Katherine! I’m so impressed how Katherine took the trouble to order a special size shoe for me… all while a street fair was going on and all the stores were bustling with customers. She followed up and called me when the shoes arrived. Then placed them on hold for a few days since I couldn’t stop by right away. It was almost as if a good friend was looking out for me! It made me feel special and cared for. Thank you Katherine! You make all the difference."
"Horrible Customer service. I have Huge regret that I didn't shop online. Amazon has free returns, but instead I insisted on "Buying Local ". I went back to this shop for my second expensive orthopedic shoes in a week. I couldn't decide between a 7 and 8, the girl insisted they didn't come in half sizes. Now that I am home, less than an hour later and try on my new 142$ shoes, they are too short. The store won't order it in my size, even though the shoe comes in half sizes online, and only offers store credit. Great, these are my orthopedic shoes I needed for work. Next time I will just buy online and forget the local touch. This lady could have had a lifelong customer as well as the goodwill of someone sharing a cute local shop for these hard to find, expensive shoes. Now I will go out of my way to recommend that everyone just order them direct from the company, or from Amazon."
