"Great style of training. Saw a difference in my dog after the first lesson! Definitely worth it."
"I recently adopted a 5 year old pitbull mix. She was also about 40 lbs overweight (he came to me at 100 lbs and should be 70-75lbs), as her previous owner had been very sick and unable to get her exercise. This also caused her to lack social skills with other dogs. I didn't realize what a challenge I was about to take on but I loved her right away. On our first week of walks she literally dragged me down the road, pulling my back out each time we walked. She was also growling at other dogs and thus I was afraid to introduce her to any other dogs and had anxiety every time I took her out. Luckily I had a colleague who told me about Mark and Angel at "Sit Means Sit" in St Pete. I went in to meet Mark and introduce Daisy to him. I immediately felt comfortable with him and also felt like he really may be able to help us. The next two weeks were difficult. Daisy was learning so much at training and like every great trainer will tell you, what they learn in class, you must repete and work on at home. For the first two weeks, as I was working on the training at home, I felt exhausted by it all and I could tell Daisy was trying so hard and I felt like I was failing her. I must have texted, called and talked in person to Mark and Angel 100 times, crying and saying I didn't know what to do, that I was feeling super overwhelmed and that I wasn't sure I could do it. The anxiety I felt taking her out with the growly behavior and pulling was intense. Mark and Angel were absolutely amazing. They always took the time to listen to me crying and overwhelmed and not just listen, but provide help, ideas and guidance. I might have fired me, if I were them! We are now a month or so in to our training and wow, have we turned a corner! When I work the training program with Daisy, she is more confident, doesn't get growly nearly as much and has even met several dogs she has become friends with. This was a massive improvement. She also was not pulling me, when I used the training tools. I can only imagine how she will be in 6 months, a year and so on... every day she is at training and we work it at home, she is getting better and better. And the interesting part, is she is also seeming happier and happier. I really can't say enough about Mark and Angel and the company as a whole. It has been a miracle for Daisy and I and we are so grateful. Mark and Angel are so incredible, I feel supported by them and heard by them 100% of the time. They are also truly good people with huge hearts."
"The training team here took my handsome man from wild street rescue to a promising young pup with a bright future in seizure support ❤️ He went from puppy nibbling and a hard tow truck sniffer to fight with on walks to a little love nugget who walks with his head up at our side with no resistance."
"Highly recommend Mark for training, especially for fearful/reactive/aggressive dogs! I came to Sit Means Sit with previous training due to working with behaviorists and nothing else seeming to work after a few incidents setting back her training. I needed an environment where she could relearn that dogs didn't have to mean bad things. The group classes are nicely structured for working the dogs and all the loving doggy parents really make it a blast. At this stage, we're only a few months in (will update!) but so far she's shown amazing progress and it seems like there's a light at the end of the tunnel!"
"Our Frenchie needed some discipline learning. We didn’t have high expectations as he is super stubborn but Mark surprised us. Every time we came to get our fur baby after his day in training we were amazed with results! We can now walk on the leash with him no problem and he listens so much better. The more homework you do the better results you’ll achieve. Mark speaks “dogs language” and he is so knowledgeable! We are very pleased with training and results and would definitely recommend Sit Means Sit to all dog owners!"
