Reviews of Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Marco Polo Beach Resort
"This is a great location of looking to be right on the beach and have a pool. That being said..it is not a 5 star resort . I will stay here again because the price is right, there is a Publix grocery store and restaurants a few blocks down to walk to the bus line runs right outside the hotel there is a charge for parking daily so I choose to not have a car . it's about a 35 minute Lyft ride to the FLL airport. Things to know: They do charge you a resort fee for basic things such as water only upon arrival in your room, use of microwave and large fridge in your room. These are service's that should not cost $20.00 a day. we had an issue with our shower not turning off and had to call the front desk twice. they fixed it but we're in our room for several hours. they did not apologize our discount our room. also upon check in we were told there would be no water in the hotel for about 2 hours the following day. if this were to be the case one would think they would stock your room with some complimentary water. The pool is great, you have to have room key to get wrist band and towel to be at pool. exercise room is okay does have some broken machines but for basic workout needs it was okay. the restaurant is closed and has been. there is pool side food and drinks that were great. service there was fantastic. there's a pizza place in lower level that was nice. I would recommend hotel if you are a basic no frills traveler."
"I had the worst stay of my life at this hotel. The rooms are extremely dirty, no water bottles accessible after 8pm. When you ask something from housekeeping, it never gets to the room or maybe 2 out of 10 times. My friend was all bitten by bugs and when we asked for the room to be disinfected it never happened they told me they don’t have products to do so, your room will never be mopped all they do is make your bed and leave. You will always smell weird disgusting smells in the hallways the only area that smells ok is the lobby. I know most will say why didn’t you leave, we paid in full when we booked and there was no way we were getting our money back so we had no choice but to buy disinfectants and stay and go down to the lobby to grab things ourselves. A person from housekeeping had the buttons of his shirt all open showing his abdominal area and walking around the hotel, the same person was using keys to clean his ears in front of us. One morning we did not have water in the room until 2:30pm without notice. I would say Whitney was very kind to change our room but the problem was every room in this hotel. Although you will pay $20 a day resort fee you have to pay for chairs towels and umbrellas if you want them by the beach. Lastly, there was blood on the elevator floor one day and only 2 out of 5 elevators are working. Will never go back nor recommend it to anyone."
"If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place was run down and the service was terrible the whole trip. From the start there was no communication about an additional deposit at check in after paying IN FULL at booking. The room was barely clean. Walking barefoot my feet were dirty. The shower had soap scuz in it, and the toilet was gross. The microwave was also dirty and rusted. Paint was all over the mirror in the breezeway. Service elevators were both broke (2) resulting in staff needing to use regular elevators but only 2 of the 3 elevators were working our entire stay. House keeping would “clean” or room but nothing was really wiped down or clean and fresh towels were not given anytime. The one particular front desk staff was little to know help anytime we had questions. He was rude. The outside area was also not very cleanly. For the amount of $$ people spend at this “resort” you’d think it’s been in better shape. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!"
"Don't be fooled by the name of this "resort." This is absolutely no resort! Photos are extremely deceiving on the website. Everything is extremely outdated and old. Two chairs out of three around this tiny little table in our room were broken. Looks like they painted recently in the room...painted right over the remote on the wall, didn't even remove the remote off of the wall. Cracked tiles on floor and in bathroom and in tub. The only good thing about this place is the pizza in the lower level of this hotel...Pizza Bianca. Would never come here again. Totally not worth the price and they even have the nerve to charge an additional " resort fee" to the price. I have been to plenty of resorts in my life...this is definitely not one! Stay somewhere else!!"
"Y’all I love my room. The lobby is beautiful. My experience here was amazing seriously. Kelsy and Carlos at the front desk were great and made my check in process so very pleasant. This is my second time staying here and when I tell you I’ll be back for a 3rd stay I will. I called for extra towels and less than 3mins they were knocking at my door. Very attentive! This place is comfortable and welcoming. The location is everything and the pool and beach location 10/10. I’ll be back."
