Reviews of Seawalk Hotel
"Classic Old Florida Hotel woth a Beautiful Courtyard. Numerous amenities within walking distance."
"The location is great! A very short distance to the beautiful Jacksonville beach. No dogs allowed signs on the beach. However, that wasn't enforced while there in the morning. As for their service, they didn't react, when they were reminded to have extra sheets and a blanket in the room, since we were going to use the couch as a bed, earlier in the day, before we arrived at 4:45. We waited for awhile, but had to leave for dinner and then to a concert. They reached out after we left. They did not want to go into the room while we were not there. Fortunately, we were close enough to run back to receive the very old, and well used blankets. They are dog friendly, and had a nice little courtyard with flowering plants. Several people had, from what I could see, only small dogs. We were on the second floor. The cement steps are steep and not very deep, if you have a big foot or shoes. Kind of difficult when carrying your luggage. No elevator. There is not a check-in office. They email to you, the electronic combination codes to get in a gate and your room. The rooms were not anything I imagine they would be.They have a big need to be updated, if they want to accommodate the paying customer. The building is very old. The room that my sister in-law and I shared was pretty small. Only one queen size bed would fit, which was ok to sleep in, and a fold up couch with lots of sand once you broke it down to sleep on. It did have a small fridge, microwave, a one cup coffee maker, and a hair dryer in or on top of a small dresser. It had a small closet to hang you clothes and to store your gear, on the floor. Hooks would be nice to hang your wet towels or coverings. A shelf could be handy, to place stuff you don't want to put on the floor in there. Lots of broken tile floors. The bathroom was clean, but again, seriously needs to be updated, peeling paint in the tiled shower that I would not step into. The shower floor was just a too icky. No place to hang more that one towel. No counter to lay personal items, no hook on the door to hang clothes or towels. A mirror and window that needed to be clean. No ventilation. The small window air-conditioner was extremely noisy and so was the ceiling fan. The window blinds are very thin and the outdoor lighting was like having daylight all night. No curtains anywhere. I understand that they help those in need, and that is wonderful. But when there is a description as a quaint, boutique hotel, I don't agree. I was expecting much more out of the room. Definitely not a romantic place to stay if you are a couple. I really hate to complain, but I just want people to be aware, if you plan on having a roomy, and comfortable place to stay, pay more money and stay elsewhere."
"We had no problem checking in, it was all done through Air B&B. We never really had contact with anyone there. Rooms are older but well cared for. And the price and location are the deal."
"Women beware! I had a man who kept standing outside the rooms window trying to peak in and since the blinds are broken he had no problem looking in. Literally bent over looking in my rooms window! I’ve never felt more uncomfortable 0/10 do not recommend. Especially to women traveling alone. Definitely creepy vibes."
