"I have used this Commissary for more than 20 years and I find it satisfies the bulk of my shopping needs. Prices are generally competitive with local grocery stores & bargains when it comes to most meat items. The store is clean and generally well stocked. Yet, I’m puzzled by the frequent almost continuous rearrangement of the isles & the logic of product placement (ie., soda on one isle, flavored water & power drinks on another; health & beauty aids on one & vitamins on another and nutritional supplement drinks, aka Ensure, back with the water.) There must be some logic… This leads to my BIGGEST of “you can do it better”; there is little to no customer service to be found, except in the meat department. The cashier cage is not a worthy customer service point. The ID checker is not the customer service representative. Other than an alert bell for the meat department there are no call buttons or alert system in place to request assistance. The commissary office does not advertise itself for customer service and the staff is surprised if you walk in and ask question. Please, on this issue, you can do better!"
"I'm not very fortunate to enter this place even if I'm a Veteran "WITHOUT" a service connection. I don't care for this place much anyway. Even though they do have some things that are cheaper than most places. But even now you can find things for the same thing cheaper or BOGO. Been coming here on and off with my Step father who is Retired from the Navy and let us come with him to buy things from time to time. We came here one day to buy some meat and produce. By the time we had checked out they have rung our items incorrectly and the scale was or not calibrated. So we had to pay more. It's a good thing we ALWAYS check our receipt to see if we did pay less than any other store in the area. We went back the next day to tell the manager on duty that day that we FOUND errors on their scale. He was very nice about it and gave our difference from what we originally paid for. Overall the staff are very friendly. I don't think we'll buy our produce here again. AND if anyone really is reading my feedback, Please double check your receipt if you really paid what you are buying and their scale is CORRECT!"
"100% do not recommend because 100% of the time that they have something marked at a different price than what it rings up, they do not honor the marked price. This is the only Commissary that I have ever been to that will not honor a price. They will also place like items that should have the same price (same brand, different flavor), have one with a tag and one with a missing tag, and the price on the tag that is present is normal and the "missing tag" is three times the normal price. Hmm... Also, they treated me as though I was the reason the more expensive item didn't have a tag on the shelf and I should have known it was a different price. Lesson learned. If you don't pay attention your going to end up with a surprise on your receipt. The photo is of the two products. The one on the right rang up over $3 and the one on the left was $1.09."
"Customer Service: 5 Affordability: 5 Location: 5 Cleanliness:5 The NAS Pensacola commissary is conveniently located just north of the navy base. It's located in a large shopping plaza, and there was no security check point. Upon entering the commissary they do have a staff member who greets and checks IDs of all customers. We always enjoyed shopping with the commissary on military bases, because they always offer great deals. For those of you that don't know what a commissary is, it's like a very large grocery store on all military bases. They are very affordable for families who have a lot of children/family members. Note: All customers must have a valid military identification to access the commissary facility."
