Howard Johnson by Wyndham Ft. Myers FL

"I arrived and the hotel was almost empty all except one little section and the very back where they had many guys in one room which were construction workers. The gal at the front desk put me directly under those men. They were up all night and in and out of the hotel room sitting outside talking outside my door. Terrible experience. The room smelled like bleach and must. The pictures shown online is not anything like the real establishment. It's very worn out and broke down. I talked to the man at the front desk when I checked out and he said absolutely nothing not I'm sorry nothing. I do not recommend staying there."

"First stay at any HoJo: Very rude guy checking in. Never said a word about $100 deposit for 'one' night stay. No hot water. Loud slamming of doors all night and I mean LOUD. Terrible location as far as traffic and maneuvering. Sketchy people all over the parking lot. I understand this is not a 5 star hotel and the price point was not terrible but $100 a night is a rip off for this place. I will give 2 stars for room because the bed was actually ok and for places like this that's rare. Does anybody else feel itchy in bed no matter what when you stay at these kind of motels? I think it's the starch in the bedding but it never fails. I find myself searching for bedbugs everytime.. Am I a crazy?"

"Not a great location, but clean rooms. The staff are great. They took great care of me while I was staying. Also, coffee and juice in the office."

"I’m not sure what people expect here, this hotel is very good in comparison to others in its price range. People need to be reasonable when paying 70 bucks for a room and expecting a 200 room as well as rating the hotel by its guests. For the price, it’s very clean, they took the time to paint the entrances to rooms as not to trip, all lighting works. Plenty of pool chairs. Lots of public garbage bins and not over filled. Somewhat updated rooms. Fridge and microwave, my room has new vinyl plank floors. I was allowed an early check in without a hard time, plenty of signs to remove valuables from your car, ample lighting. The parking lot has been recently painted with clear markings. As a hotel owner I see everything done right."
