Days Inn by Wyndham Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda

"Friendly desk clerk. GREAT location next to shopping and restaurants! Recently remodeled rooms. Clean. Continental breakfast in the am. +++Update+++ I used Wyndham Reward Points to pay for the room. The hotel double charged my credit card and only removed one charge. The hotel gave me run around on the phone."

"Upon arriving at my room, there was an issue with the sink. I went to the front desk & Phyllis took care of it immediately. Not only was it a super quick change to another room, but she didn't leave until I found it acceptable. How's that for customer service !! I can't complain about the room at all. It was in perfect condition & the bathroom was absolutely clean. Yes, it takes getting used to dealing with a virtual person, but he was able to accommodate myself & my friend to have rooms next to each other on the same floor. Again, a happy customer is the goal! We checked out the morning of 2/19 & the women at the window asked us if we had a chance to eat breakfast, we didn't. Her response was wonderful.. " I'm a mom, so be sure to grab a little something for the drive as you don't know when you'll get hungry." Who does this nowadays? Nobody!! Kudos to the staff here !! Definitely will be back when visiting my family ! Thank you !!"

"Not a bad place to stay. Was actually very nice and clean. Problems we had were we needed a handicap accessible room which I booked, said had a roll in shower but was a tub I had trouble stepping into to get a shower and almost fell both times I tried getting out of the shower. Both myself and my husband have had major back surgery which is why I booked the room I did. Room we had was newly renovated but need handicap showers if they offer them. Pillows sucked. They are the size of a throw pillows. And bed was so hard we both woke up barely able to move. Do not recommend if you have ever had back surgery."

"Debbie I believe is the manager here. I have stayed in numerous hotels in the past few months. By far this has been the cleanest, most accommodating hotel in port charlotte. Every single employee whether over night or early morning is very well spoken, very nice, and extremely courteous. They run a tight ship here. I have yet to see cigarette butts, or trash anywhere on the property. The girls come in do they're jobs. And leave. This is one of the older hotels. And probably the cleanest. They go out of they're way to make sure it's clean. I appreciate everything and everyone here. Thank you."

"I had to change rooms because a/c didn’t work. The “virtual assistance” was actually very efficient and helpful, although I don’t know how I feel about this taking over a real attendant (some people went to the clerk that was still present there, and got checked in faster). It was around 1am though. Otherwise, decent for an inexpensive hotel."
