"My fiancé and I are staying here right now for a weekend getaway. We are locals and heard this was a good place for a romantic quiet getaway. The space is nice and room is nice but I am feeling very disappointed. The room we got isn’t exactly like the one in the photos the one we got has very little light it’s very dark in the day and the terrace is more like a closed box with zero view only can see walls. The photos showed a room with lots of natural lights a windows. But my main issue as why I decided to write this review is because it’s brunch and this is the first hotel in my life after a long history of hotels that doesn’t have smoothie available. They only serve them till 10am. When I called I explained that I have trouble eating due to health condition and that a smoothie was the only thing I can get down. The girl refused to accommodate me saying everything to make them is put away. This is a small boutique hotel it should not be difficult to accommodate their guests for simple requests especially when it’s a luxury hotel and we opted to stay in a one bedroom suite."

"My room smelt mouldy so I checked out early and went to the Hilton. Friendly professional staff. Gardens were well kept. Not a convenient location being a distance from the convention centre and also the beach. Not recommended."

"I’m going through something extremely difficult. What im going through is a health issue waiting game to see if things work out. My mom took me here to get my mind off things. It was exactly what I needed. Every person I met was kind, genuinely looked happy to work there, and made things so special. And I mean EVERYONE. It felt like a warm environment. The rooms and scenery are just so beautiful. And my God the food is good. Some names that stand out are Pierre, Denise, Martha, Edwin, Abel, and the front desk staff. Thanks for everything- I’ll never forget you!"

"Top notch. Everyone was outstanding. Lovely room. I admire the guts of the hotel to use lavender pillowcases. My only caveat would be for someone challenged by stairs. There was a quite high threshold to "jump" over to enter the room at the top of the steps. May not be appropriate for elderly."

"Sunday Brunch 12/11. With a call in reservation I requested a table for 4 in the courtyard. When we arrived there was a private event going on and we were only able to be seated inside. After a polite discussion about displeasure hostess escorted us to an inappropriate table. After another conversation we were re-seated and I was informed, by the hostess that after review It was not shown that I requested a courtyard table. I had to assure her that I was very familiar with the BC and That I would not have made that mistake. Point of this is. Fine dining is just that. It's not just about the food. Staff should never have a need to correct a patron. That being said: Excellent and properly prepared omelets, and brunch fare. Too much service (staff) when not necessary and not enough when needed. Entrees did not arrive at table at the same time. All that being said: Food 5 stars, service 3 1/2 averaging 4 stars total. Review: emphasis needs to be placed on staff / customer relations and anticipating needs of customers. Food keep doing what your doing."
